CONFUCIUS (551BC - 479BC )

INTRODUCTION
          Confucius the great Chinese philosopher known for his Virtues. He came to be known by his famous quote,
"Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself"




The 5 Virtues of Confucius

1. Benevolence
          Having Love,  affection, sympathy, pity, goodness,compassion, etc for others and never retorting to hatred, revenge, etc are the traits of benevolence. 
Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves
 

2. Propriety
              It means having good manners, being polite, having a sense of social order and thinking about principles of  benefit, gain etc


3. Righteousness
         Righteousness means doing what is morally right.


Riches and honors acquired by unrighteousness are to me as a floating cloud




4. Wisdom
         Wisdom can be acquired by having the knowledge of what is right and wrong. Confucius gives us the 3 steps to acquire wisdom.


"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."

5. Sincerity 
     It means being honest, genuine and true to yourself and to others.




CONCLUSION
        Confucius's virtues are being studied, practiced and implemented by people all around the world today.
